The Day’s Delight: Franks

He looks so much like his own father: the jutting jaw, the tipped head.

His hair is turning whiter– and these mannerisms all remind me of my grandad’s, who was far and away my favorite.

“He lost his two front teeth at a cricket game,” my dad said so easily rolling off a snippet that could — and did– raise the dead.
