My piano arrived today!
I left money on the bookshelf and just like that, when I got home, the elves had swapped it out for a little upright Wurlitzer piano.
Why does a piano feel like a necessity? How does it ground a home and make everything settled, chill out a more, be less apologetic about themselves? (Maybe it’s late and I’m tired, but it just occurred to me that a piano has a very similar effect as Keanu Reeves: unremarkable but comforting and affirming, exciting to tell everyone you know about).
I played of course. And Ennis thought it was good.
